BV Entertainment was out in force at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors in Burbank, June 2-4. Writer/director Kenneth J. Hall, executive producer Lynda Williams, cast members Janet Tracy Keijser, Athena Demos, Cleve Hall, Mike Gaglio, and Tommi X were all on hand to sign HALFWAY HOUSE DVDs and posters, Here are some photos from the event.

Entertainment Today, a local paper in Los Angeles, ran an article by Ryan Orvis called "Sex, Blood, and Exploding Slugs - The return of the B Movie." One of the three films he discusses is none other than THE HALFWAY HOUSE. If you missed it on the stands, you can read is here.

We just received word that THE HALFWAY HOUSE will premiere on the Showtime cable network channel Showtime Extreme, Wednesday, March 1, at 11:50 PM EST. (Be sure to check your local listings for the air time in your area!) This will be the first of five showings of the film's R-rated cut throughout the month.

Brian Stemmler went from being a camera assistant on our movie to a segment producer for "9 on the Town," on Channel 9 in Los Angeles. Brian brought his crew out to Total Fabrication to do a Halloween piece, which included a studio tour and interview with Kenneth J. Hall. The highlight of the segment was behind-the-scenes footage and clips from THE HALFWAY HOUSE. Those who missed it can check out the website HERE.

THE HALFWAY HOUSE will be shown at Fright Night, Friday, October 14, at CIA in North Hollywood. There will be copies of the DVD for sale and free poseters given away. Come out to what will probably be the last screening held in the area this year. Click on the flyer below for more details.

Kenneth J. Hall will be the Media Guest of Honor at MileHiCon 37, which will be held October 21-13 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Denver, Colorado. He will host panels on independent filmmaking as well as a midnight screening of THE HALFWAY HOUSE.

"Halfway to Hell" - the first music video produced for BV Entertainment's "Fright Film Factory" label - will premiere online at IFILM. It will play on the site for the next 3 months.
The video features the original song composed and performed by Insecto Circus, which serves as the end title song in THE HALFWAY HOUSE. It was directed by Tim Herrman and produced by Kenneth J. Hall. There are cameo appearances by actors Janet Tracy Keijser as a virginal victim and Athena Demos and Tomi X as nasty nuns along with clips from the film.

Writer/director/ Kenneth J. Hall will be a guest speaker on the panel " Getting Your Film Out There: From Festival to Distribution" as part of the Filmmaker Program at the VSDA, which will be held the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, July 26-28. Mr. Hall will also be at the LA Indie Film Group booth throughout the show to discuss THE HALFWAY HOUSE and his upcoming projects.

THE HALFWAY HOUSE on DVD!
The official DVD release date is August 23,2005. It will be out on the Skouras/Ventura label and available at stores nationwide. There will be a separate R-rated edition as well as an unrated director's cut with additional features, including a director/producer commentary track, deleted scenes, and a lengthy making-of documentary "Gut-Eating Monsters from Hell." Both versions include the trailer and the music video "Halfway to Hell" by Insecto Circus. Both will be in widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 stereo surround sound.

THE HALFWAY HOUSE gets a mention on the US DVD release of SATANICO PANEMONIUM, a film by Mexican director Gilberto Martínez Solares. From Mondo Macabro, the disk includes numerous special features, including a text essay on the genre by our friends at Nunsploitation.net. Thanks, guys!
